Steps to make Payasam:

Step-1

  1. Scrape 2 big coconuts 
  2. Lightly blend the grated coconut in the Mixer by adding ½ cup of lukewarm water
  3. Sieve the coconut mixture into a bowl to extract the thick milk
  4. Blend the grated coconut again to extract the thin milk

Step-2

  1. Crush the jaggery & soak it into ¼ cup of water
  2. Slice the bananas into circular shapes and blend it over in the Mixer
  3. Wash the moong dal lentil with water and put it in the cooker. Slightly undercooked moong dal always adds a nice flavor to Payasam. 
  4. Grind cardamom, dry ginger, and Jeera to make a dry powder

Step-3

  1. Heat ghee in a Kadhai
  2. Add Banana blend and let it add its flavors for 5 minutes
  3. Add jaggery sugar 
  4. Mix it well
  5. Stir the mixture in between to avoid lumps

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripped Robusta bananas
  • Oil

To oil fry & eat with tea:

  • 2 tablespoon rice flour
  • ¼ cup All-purpose flour or Maida
  • ¼ tablespoon turmeric
  • Salt 

To serve as a dessert

  • Honey as a seasoning
  • Ice cream 
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Steps to make Banana Fritters:

Step-1

Add rice flour, all-purpose flour, turmeric, and salt in a bowl. Add water to make a semi-thick paste.

Step-2

  • Heat the oil for deep frying
  • Cut the bananas into half 
  • Dip the banana in the batter
  • When oil heats up, add the dipped bananas 
  • Flip over the bananas in between to fry them in a golden brown color. The cooking may take up to 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the cooked bananas to a plate
  • Use tissue papers to soak the excessive frying oil

Step-1
